If your needing Help affording your new glasses

We support New Eyes for the Needy and you can too!

Voucher Program

New Eyes for the Needy purchases prescription eyeglasses for people in need in the U.S. through a well-established voucher program. Eligible clients can apply for a voucher through a social service agency or a school nurse. Clients can present a New Eyes voucher to any participating local optical dispenser, who fits the client with the proper prescription eyeglasses. The dispenser then receives reimbursement directly from New Eyes.
New Eyes’ U.S. program is unique:
  • We help individuals nationwide, in urban, suburban and rural locations.
  • We work through established channels of social workers, school nurses and optical dispensers.
  • Social service agencies help New Eyes pre-screen applicants for financial need.
  • No corporate or organizational affiliation is required on the part of an individual, social service agency or optical dispenser in order to participate in New Eyes’ program.
In 2011-20112 in partnership with social service agencies and optical dispensers across the country, New Eyes helped 6,066 disadvantaged U.S. residents purchase the eyeglasses they needed but could not afford.
